Your Museum is a great place to explore our heritage these holidays. Come and experience our latest exhibition All Creatures Great and Small. There are fascinating things to see and discover, fun things to do in the exhibitions, and special activity sessions.

Special holiday activities

Our craft sessions these holidays have limited spaces so make sure you book in early by contacting the Museum on (03) 6877212 or by email: museum@timdc.govt.nz

We need your child's names, ages, day/session time and contact number when booking.

Activities are suitable for children aged 5 – 12. Children under the age of 8 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Come along and make a colourful snake finger puppet to slither through the holidays with

Take a Closer Look

Free

Drop in to see all creatures great and small up close using our microscopes and magnifying glasses

Viewing between these times 10-12noon and 1-3pm

While you’re here you can also:

  • Join in our All Creatures Great and Small Sketching Competition
  • Do a museum quiz and earn a penny to play on one of our old fashioned coin games!

  • Explore our exhibitions with hundreds of things to see!
  • Play our Spacies game upstairs and see if you can get to the top of the leaderboard - 50c a game
