Our public talks are back!
We've run these for the last couple of years in partnership with the Canterbury Branch of the Royal Society. On Thursday 8 September we will host Sasha Morriss, geoeducator at Waitaki Whitestone Geopark, based in Oamaru.
Her topic: From the ancient supercontinent Gondwana to the present day - the geology and landscape of the geopark tell the story of how our land was formed. In this talk we will cover the beginnings of the Waitaki Whitestone Geopark, what we do, places to visit, and where to from here...
When: Thursday 8 September at 7pm
Where: TDC council chambers off Barnard Street
Free admission, face masks required
