Operation Grapple - We were there is a powerful and poignant photography exhibition by Denise Baynham. It tells the story of Operation Grapple through the portraits of 19 New Zealand nuclear test veterans.
The exhibition explores the experiences of the young men who witnessed British nuclear tests in the Pacific in the 1950s while serving with the Royal New Zealand Navy, and how this affected their lives and the health of their families.
Two local men's experiences are included in the 19 veterans stories featured.
Opening Friday 8 November at 5.30pm. All welcome. NO RSVP required.
