Wednesday 1:30 – 3:30pm | Fossil Hunt Where: Meet at the picnic area Evans Crossing, Pareora River NOTE: The programme will change if wet weather - visit our Facebook page for updates and directions | Hunt for fossils and see what you can find from long ago. Bring a small container, sun protection, a chisel or screwdriver and some eyewear. All children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. |
Friday All day – drop in any time | Anzac Day Medals Where: South Canterbury Museum | Drop in and make a medal of your own to commemorate ANZAC Day. Visit the ‘In Service’ Exhibition to see medals and memorabilia from some of our local soldiers who went to war. You can also try on part of a soldiers uniform and take a photo |
Wednesday All day – drop in any time | Butterfly Wall Where: South Canterbury Museum | Drop in and see our amazing butterfly collection then make a butterfly to go on our special butterfly wall. |
Friday 1:30 – 3:30pm | Take a Closer Look Where: South Canterbury Museum | Drop in and look at some fossils, insects and other small things up close using our microscopes and magnifying glasses. Bring in your own small things to get identified! |
