Biographical Notes

George Wyatt was the son of Alfred Ambrose and Charlotte Jane (née Loader) Wyatt. He was educated at both Timaru Main and Timaru South schools. His father in August 1895, when he suffered a head injury after he experienced giddiness and fell out of his dray. His mother died suddenly from heart disease in June 1920. George married Margaret Millin in 1921. George enlisted after being called up. His brother, Henry Valentine Wyatt also enlisted, and a nephew, Alfred Henry Wyatt, served in World War I.
