Biographical Notes
Thorwal Henry Andrews was the son of Henry Thomas and Augusta Wilhelmina Christina (née Rasmussen) Andrews. He was educated at Ravensbourne, Albany Street and North East Valley schools in Dunedin. On 9 April 1913 at Sydenham he married Rosina Collins. Late in 1917 he was drawn in the Second Ballot for Second Division Class A drafts. After Rosina died in 1947, Thorwald married Bertha Guy.
