Biographical Notes

James Lindsay, 6/3380, was the youngest son of James and Elizabeth (née Gibb) Lindsay. His early education was at St Leonard's School, Dunedin, Union Street School, Dunedin, and George street School, Dunedin, leaving the last with two brothers for the Caversham Industrial School in 1884. His father probably died in 1881 at Dunedin.
