Biographical Notes

Walter John Currie, known as John, was the oldest son of Thomas and Matilda (née McClintock) Currie. His brother Thomas Currie also served in World War I. Private J. Currie, Morven, was one of the recruits for the Tenth Reinforcements who left South Canterbury in mid November 1915 for Trentham Camp.
