Biographical Notes
Herbert Winter was the son of George and Sarah (née McClelland) Winter. He was educated at Rangitata Station and Cannington schools. In 1924 at St Mary's, Timaru, he married Emily Maud Burrell. Emily was buried in the Timaru Cemetery in 1984, and Herbert is remembered on the headstone (no burial record). ,
