Biographical Notes
William Hudson Wingham was the third son of James John and Fanny (née Heath) Wingham. He was educated at Gore School. Prior to leaving for the front, William married Margaret Dixon. William's father died in 1915 at Timaru and his mother in 1917. His brother Arthur Wingham also served in World War I.
