Biographical Notes

John O'Leary enlisted on 17 December 1914 at Enoggera, Queensland, Australia. he nominated his father John o'Leary of Orari as his next-of-kin. His father was untraceable to receive the war medals. John may well have been born john Leary,on 1 January 1874 in the Geraldine district to John and Margaret (née Murphy) Leary.
