Biographical Notes

George Robert Caple was the second son of John and Mary (née Jenkins) Caple. He attended Port Chalmers School. He suffered a gunshot wound to the right aarm and back, which resulted in permanent injury. In 1923 he married Lavinia Hannah Mabel Grainger.
