Biographical Notes
Norman Soward Coxhead was the third son of Edward and Barbara Hay (née Fletcher) Coxhead. Norman was educated at Timaru Main School before a spell at Elwood School, Christchhurch, in 1910-1911. He married Margaret (Peggy) Emma Yvonne Ferrier on 14 May 1925. Norrie and Peggy had one daughter. After Peggy's death in 1950 Norman married Reta Jane Johns. Norman and Reta were divorced in 1958. Norman alsop saw service in World War II. Two brothers, Edward and Norman, also served in World War I.
