Biographical Notes

William Ruddle was the son of Mary Ruddle, of Kilfinny, County Limerick, Ireland; In 1901 12 year old William was a scholar at home with his widowed mother, four brothers and three sisters. And in 1911 the family, including 21 year old William, a farmers' son, was still at Kilfinny. At the time of enlisting, William Ruddle was a farm hand for Mr C. N. Orbell, at Levels. In 1920 William is found entering the USA.
