Biographical Notes

Margaret Jane Nixon, sometimes known as Maggie, was born on 25 December 1881 at Fairlie, the fourth daughter of Irish born John Nixon and his Scottish wife, Agnes née Currie. Margaret qualified a s anurse in December 1907, having done her training at the Timaru Hospital.
