Son of the late William Grylls Addison & Alice Addison of 3 West Terrace, Cranbrook, Kent, England.
Sergeant Addison was killed in action oo Rhododendron Spur during the August offensive on Chunuk Bair. His brother Corporal John Humphrey Addison (Canterbury Infantry Battalion, no. 6/1444) also served on Gallipoli. He is listed with the incorrect rank by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
