Biographical Notes
Son of Jacob and Alice Hill (nee Silver) married 1857 West Bromich, England. Jacob Hill was Mayor of Timaru from 1893 - 1895. Emigrated to NZ in 1859, lived first in Waimate and then Timaru. Brother of Alice Hill, Claremont, then 36 Beverley Road, Timaru and CH Hill 43 David St, Preston, Victoria. Other siblings, John Zealandia, Joseph Benjamin, and Mary Silver.
