17 Nov 1916 admitted to hospital at Codford from Sling & struck off strength. 22 Nov 1917 admitted to Walton-on-Thames Hospital. February 1917. Deep corns in sole of foot, painful when he walks; three corns excised under local anaesthetic; recovered. 23 Nov 1917 2 small ulcers on left foot; conrs on both feet. Boots corrected. Ulcer nearly healed. 31 Dec 1917 ulcer excised recurred. Hospital report - among sick and wounded, not severe case; next of kin resident at Kerrytown (Evening Post, 8 Feb 1917)
