Biographical Notes
Ernest Percy Stock was born on 29 November 1889 at Clinton, South Otago, the seventh son of David Collard and Augusta Elizabeth (née James) Stock. E. P Stock was one of four infantry non-commissioned officers who left Timaru on 23 August 1916 with the 20th Reinforcements draft to go into training for the Twenty-second Reinforcements. His brother, Albert Edward Stock, was called up. Ernest married Edith Amelia Faris in 1921.
