Biographical Notes

Alfred Percival Price was born on 3 May 1884 at Waimate, the second son of Alexander and Emily Jane (née Mason) Price. His father died in 1901 and was buried at Waimate A. P. Price, 13574, of Waimate, returned to New Zealand per the “Kia Ora”, embarking at Liverpool in March 1919, the draft being due at Lyttelton on 7 May 1919. Alfred married Katherine May Scott in 1921. He died on 17 August 1953 at Mosgiel, aged 69 years, and was buried in Andersons Bay Cemetery, Dunedin. His widow died 24 years after and was buried with him.
