Biographical Notes

Thomas William Eaton was the son of Thomas Eaton and his second wife, Annie née Lonie. He was educated at Woodbury School, where he was awarded a Standard IV prize at the school's 1899 annual treat and prize distribution, held on Boxing Day. Thomas married Irene Bacon on 28 March 1919. His brother James Alexander Eaton also served in World War I, and his half-brother, John Robert Eaton, enlisted.
