Biographical Notes

Adam George Cruickshank was the second son of William and Maggie Templeton (née Bain) Cruickshank. Embarking at Tilbury on 12 March 1919 for the return home, he reached Lyttelton, New Zealand by the “Corinthic” in April 1919, one of 1142 soldiers aboard. Adam married Nora O'Connor in 1929. His older brother, William Henry Cruickshank enlisted for World War I.
