Biographical Notes

Michael St Leger Cleary was the son of Matthew Michael and Cecil (Cecilia) Josephine (née Kelly) Cleary. Private M. St. L. Cleary was one of the recruits for the Tenth Reinforcements who left South Canterbury in mid November 1915 for Trentham Camp. He died when he fell from the balcony of a hotel where he was sleeping while working with a survey party.
