Biographical Notes
John Patrick Dermott Roseingrave was the son of Thomas William and Catherine Mary (Kate, née Boland) Roseingrave. John was a scholar at home with his family in Limerick City in 1901 and 1911. His mother died between 1901 and 1911. He had been two years in New Zealand when he enlisted. His sister was a nurse at Timaru Public Hospital at the time of John's death.
