Biographical Notes

Edwin Frank Vincent was the son of Henry and Alice (née Brine) Vincent. He wa sbaptised on 26 May 1829 at St Cuthbert's, Wells, Somerset, England. He was home in Wells with the family in 1910; in 1911 he was a labourer, boarding with his brother-in-law in Wales. He was serving with the 2nd South Canterbury Regiment, with which he went to camp. Edwin married Florence Annie Sarah Lett in 1917. Edwin and Florence had a son Stanley Edwin Vincent born in 1918. They divorced in 19124 in Christchurch. In 1930 Edwin married Ida Mary Moore.
