Biographical Notes
John (Jack) Kidd was the son of Irish born Henry Kidd and his Scottish wife Christina (née Donald). He was educated at Shag Point, Palmerston and Albury schools. Jack married Olive Robertson on 22 August 1914 at Weston, North Otago. He also saw service in the South frican War, as did his brthers Gavin and Thomas. His brothers Robert (Bob) and David also served in World War I. .
