Biographical Notes

Patrick John Clunan was the son of James and Johanna (née Twomey) Clunan. On 25 November 1914 at the Roman Catholic church, Timaru, Mr Pat J. Culnan "acted in the capacity of best man" at the wedding of Francis Patrick (Frank) Kelly and Ellen (Nell) Mulvaney. At the time of enlistinh he was a clerk for New Zealand Railways in Timaru. This appears to be the only family of this name in New Zealand.
