Biographical Notes

Albert Dellow was born on 14 April 1874 at sea, the second son of Henry and Sarah Ann (née Fowler) Dellow, who had migrated from England on the 'Rakaia' and settled in Waimate. Albert was drawn in the ballot. Noel Dellow, a nephew of Albert and son of jhis brother Jesse, was killed at El Alamein in 1942.
