Biographical Notes
Keith Harold ENGLISH was the only son of Douglas Henry Bennison and Effie Kathleen (née WHITE) ENGLISH. He attended Waimataitai School. His father, a bank manager in Timaru, died when Keith was just three years old. Not long after reaching Egypt, Keith joined the New Zealand Company of the Imperial Camel Corps (ICC). There in Egypt he served for nearly three years.
