Patrick Joseph REILLY was the eldest son of Patrick and Josephine (nee SULLIVAN) REILLY. His brother John Declan REILLY also served in WWI. Patrick was educated at the Marist Brothers School in Timaru, at Makikihi School, and at St Patrick's College.
