Biographical Notes

Andrew Scott was the fourth son of John and Bridget (née O'Connell) Scott, of Kerrytown. Brother of Marcellius James Scott (who also served in World War One) and Leo Austin Scott. Andrew was baptised on 26 June 1886 in the Temuka Catholic Parish.

Andrew's grandson recounts: "He was injured twice in combat at Passchendaele and at the Somme he survived the War and lived at Kerrytown until he died in 1968 at Kerrytown. He was survived by his wife Mary (nee Fitzgerald) and ten children."
