Biographical Notes

Hugh HOARE was born on 11 December 1869 at Kerrytown, South Canterbury, the son of Dennis and Mary (née BROSNAHAN) HOARE. He married Edith Gertude DONOVAN on 21 December 1897 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Oxford. Edith was later the postmistress at Kerrytown.
