Son of James Clemens & Eliza (nee HOCKING) WILLIAMS. Educated at Springbrook & St Andrews (South Canterbury) schools. Named in ballot of April 1917. Married Olive May DREW in 1923. Returned aboard transport No. 204 to Port Chalmers, about 11 January 1919. Died in 1978. Brother William John WILLIAMS (Jack) was killed in action in 1917.
