Biographical Notes
Son of John and Emily Shefford nee Wild. James enlisted as John Richard Dazzler and it was not until he died that it was found that he was James Shefford. An affadavit signed by RIchard Pelvin in 1920 confirmed James's identity. In his will, his estate went to James A Tate from Awakino Road, Te Kuiti, affadavit signed 1918 along with his medals.
