Biographical Notes

Francis James Booker who was born on 28 March 1892 at Orari, was the second son of James Booker and Charlotte Susan née Wyatt who had married in 1881 at Temuka. He married Annie Loversidge on 14 January 1914 at Christchurch. A son, George William, was born on 21 December 1914 at Christchurch and a daughter, Evelyn Joyce, was born on 14 December 1917 at Akaroa. Francis died in 1950 at Christchurch. Two of his brothers - William George and Allan Rowland Booker - served in World War I.
