Biographical Notes

Leonard Albert Waters was the eighth and youngest son of William and Frances Sophia (née Giles) Waters. He was educated at the Geraldine District High School. An older brother George William Waters was killed in action in 1918 in France, and his brother James Waters also served in World War I.
