Biographical Notes

John Cecil Martin, who was bos born as cecil and went to school as Cecil, was the only child of William and Emma (née Bebbington) Martin. He was educated at Timaru Main, Gleniti and Waimataitai schools..Corporal John C. Martin, 24835, arrived home in a contingent of sick and wounded in October 1917. John Cecil Martin married Sylvia Wynne Hamber in 1926. His mother died in 1954, his father possibly in 1951.
