Biographical Notes

George McKay McLeay Munro was the third son of Donald and Annie (née Ross) Munro. George started his education at St Andrews School, transferring to the new school at Kingsdown in 1882. Mr and Mrs Munro had settled at Kingsdown (Dalmore Farm) in 1878. George M. M. Munro embarked from Liverpool on 16 November 1917 by the “Ruahine” and arrived back in New Zealand on 6 January 1918.
