Biographical Notes

Joseph George Richard Laverty was the younger son of Joseph and Ann Jane (née Chambers) Laverty. He was educated at Albury School,l, where he gained his Certificate of Proficiency in 1908. His brother David also served in World War I. George married Lena Matilda Taylor in 1921.
