Biographical Notes

Robert Cyril Munro Irwin, known as Cyril, was the eldest son of Robert and Annie Margaret (née Munro) Irwin. His early education was at Rangitata Station School. In 1910 he entered Motueka District High School and from 1913 till 1914 attended Nelson College. He was employed in the Lands and Survey Department.
