Biographical Notes

John Markham was the oldest son in the family of twelve of Thomas and Honora (Honoria, née Howe) Markham. John had been medically examined for military service in 1916 at Geraldine and rejected because of a sprained foot. He married Florence Annie Waite in 1929. His brother Michael also enlisted for service in World War I.
