Biographical Notes

Louis Edyvean was the eldest son of John and Mary Jane (née Jago) Edyvean, both from Cornwall, England. Louis was educated at Pleasant Point School. He married Eleanor Gounld on 12 April 1911 in Chalmers Presbyterian Parish, Timaru. Their son, Harold Louis Edyvean, who was born in 1921, served in World War II.
