Biographical Notes

Joseph Aloysius Roseingrave was the son of Jerome Horace and Josephine Mary (née Boland). He married Hinemoa Alexandrina Mary Fabian in 1925. In September 1918, J. A. Roseingrave was reported wounded. Joseph was on active service when his sister Josephine died in November 1918, from complications of influenza. Driver Roseingrave arrived home to Timaru by the Oxfordshire in early 1919. He was the best man at the wedding of his sister Janie at Sacred Heart Church, Timaru, in early 1920. The name of J. A. Roseingrave is inscribed on the A.M.P. Society's Roll of Honour unveiled in Wellington on 3 March 1920.
