Biographical Notes

Frederick James Davie was the younger son of William and Mary Ellen (née Kennedy). Frederick was educated at Roughridge School at Oturehua, and Waimataitai School, Timaru. G. W. K. Davie embarked at Liverpool for the return to New Zealand per the “Tahiti”. draft no. 204, carrying 950 soldiers, reached Port Chalmers on 12 January 1919. He married Gwendolyn Olive Baird in 1924.
