Biographical Notes

Samuel James Gould was the son of William and Hannah Maria (or Dophia) Gould. He was educated at the Woodbury and Orari Bridge schools. He married Susan Ethel McCleery in 1920. He returned to New Zealand on the Paparoa's draft which arrived at Wellington in May 1919.
