Biographical Notes

Clifford Frederick Story was the third son, and eighth of the twelve children, of Arthur and Emily (née Hawkins). He was educated at Orari and Temuka schools. He was serving with the 2nd South Canterbury Regiment, with which he went to camp..In 1920 he married Mabel Elizabeth Hart. His brother Gilmore Herbert Story also served in World War I.
