Biographical Notes

Francis Oswald was the first-born of William Francis and Rose Maria (née Harrow) Bennett. He was educated in Timaru and Christchurch. Francis returned to New Zealand in March 1919 per the "Athenic". He married Pearl Allan Brash in 1927.
