Biographical Notes

John Blue was the son of Dougald and Mary (née Houston) Blue. He was educated at Totara Valley and Hazelburn schools. Between 1905 and 1911 the family moved to Balfour. John had left for the front before his father's death in September 1916. His brother Archibald also served in World War I.
