Biographical Notes

Albert Victor Richards was the eldest son of Edward and Elizabeth (née Harrison) Richards. He attended dorie School until probably 1903 when he transferred to Waimate School. Three of his four brothers also served in World War I - Sidney Edward, Leslie Lawrence and Clarence Alexander (known as Alexander). Albert married Gertrude Lucretia d'Auvergne in 1921.
