Biographical Notes

Son of Daniel & Catherine FRIEL, of Pleasant Point. Brother Edward died of wounds in WWI. Brother Michael Joseph also served in WWI.Francis returned to New Zealand in May 1919 by the troopship Arawa. Married Honorah Hilda (Norah) BREEN in 1923.
